Showing up is 80, maybe 90%, of the work when it comes to remaining on The Path, wherever your Path is headed. Four ways to show up include:
Accumulate merit. In Bhudism, merit is a beneficial and protective force which accumulates as a result of good deeds, acts, or thoughts. In other words, by focusing on goodness, I create more openness (of mind and heart).
Lighten up. Lay down the burden of useless, heavy, unwanted thoughts, deeds, or actions through honest self-reflection. (This includes negative self-talk, inner critic, parental static, etc.)
Invite surprise. Welcome the mistakes because they inform and help you build knowledge. Today is a new day, my expertise from yesterday won't necessarily show up in my performance today.
Express gratitude. Say thanks to those that help you, people that aid your insights, help you develop your skills, and provide feedback on your efforts.
All hard. That's why you get a lifetime.
